In girls major’s softball, Landers won the tournament title nipping United Medical 5-4. Teagan Lobek singled and added an RBI, Kendall Zimmermann singled, Lauryn Mascareno drove in a run. Reagan Shuler pitched 4 innings and struck out 10. Zimmermann worked the last inning and struck out 2. Lobek and Zimmermann received the game balls for great play on defense and offense. For United Medical, Kinley Haines had 2 hits, Katee Sellers singled, Bria Murray also had a hit along with Zetta Graham. Bria Murray struck out 15 in the loss.
In Little League Minors, Elks defeated Edward Jones 4-3 to advance in tournament play. Rhett Starnes tripled, kellen Nix and Davian Johnston added doubles.
