The SC 16u Storm Chasers finished 2nd at the Benton USSSA Tournament falling to the Legends in the title game 9-8. SC held an 8-7 lead heading into the bottom of the 7th but gave up 2 runs to fall. Beau Jolliff and Andrew Magnus drove in 2 runs for SC along with Spencer Johannes. Ethan Dunn added an RBI.
SC beat the Midwest Thunder in the semifinals 2-1. Chase Thompson had a hit and RBI, Magnus went 2-for-2. Ian Justice worked 6 innings allowing 5 hits and just 1 run with 7 strikeouts.
On Saturday, SC beat the Thunder 14-2 as Aidan Dodson homered, tripled and drove in 4. Logan Fleener went 3-3 with 3 RBI and 3 runs. They also beat the Jackson Freshmen Legion 13-2. Dodson homered and drove in 3, Brandt Hiestand added a double going 2-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
