70-percent of Illinois adults now have at least 1 vaccine dose

The State of Illinois is reporting 70-percent of Illinois adults have now had at least one vaccine dose.  53-percent are reported as fully vaccinated.

In its weekly report, the Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 928 new cases since Monday.   65 additional deaths have been reported during the past five days.  As of Thursday night, 492 were hospitalized with 123 in ICU and 69 on

The statewide positivity rate has fallen to six-tenths of a percent.

In Marion County, there is one new COVID-19 case.  There are seven active cases, including one in the hospital.  There have been 21,920 doses of vaccine administered to Marion County residents with 30 percent of the population now fully vaccinated.   Marion County’s positivity rate for the past seven days is .8-percent.

In Jefferson County, two new cases were reported on Friday with three positive cases in isolation.
