Two people have been charged with burglary to a building in the 1100 block of South Sycamore in Centralia.
31-year-old John Pope and 36-year-old Ashley Matson of South Davis were arrested earlier this week when Centralia Police reportedly broke up a burglary in progress after a neighbor reported seeing someone enter the building.
At the time, Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson said the two were believed to be involved in an earlier burglary of the same building where checks were stolen an attempt was made to take out a loan in the name of the building owner.
Bond for Pope was set at $20,000. Bond for Matson was set at $5,000. Both had the public defender appointed to represent them.
