Police Beat for Tuesday, June 15th, 2021

Salem Police have arrested 33-year-old Steven Schultz of East Locust in Salem for retail theft. He’s accused of walking out of Fast Mart on Vail Street without paying for two drinks.

45-year-old James Whaley of South Locust in Sandoval was taken to the Marion County Jail by Sandoval Police after being arrested
for alleged domestic battery.

49-year-old James Osborne of Lowery Street in Odin was arrested by Odin Police for aggravated assault.

Two others posted bond on outstanding warrants and were released. 49-year-old Jammi Smith of South Jefferson in Wamac was arrested by Wamac Police on an outstanding Marion County traffic warrant. 47-year-old Misty Hopper of South Darling in Irvington turned herself in on a Marion County failure to appear traffic warrant. She posted $250 cash bond and was released.
