The Marion County Health Department is reporting six new COVID-19 cases over the weekend and Monday.
Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow says none of the new cases are in long-term care residents or students. Three are considered community spread and the other three from household or close contacts.
There are now 11 active cases in Marion County, including one who is hospitalized.
Jefferson County reported one new case over the weekend and Monday. Five are currently in isolation.
Washington County has had no new cases over the weekend or Monday and now has zero active positive cases.
Fayette County is reporting 17 new cases in the week ending on Monday.
Wayne County is reporting one new COVID-19 case over the weekend and only one person in isolation.
Statewide, 244 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Monday as the number of new cases statewide continues to drop. There were 14 additional deaths reported on Monday. None were in South Central Illinois.
On Saturday and Sunday, 880 new cases were reported along with 69 additional deaths. Two of those were in the Metro-East and one apiece in Saline and Jackson County in Southern Illinois.
The preliminary seven-day positivity rate has dropped to 1.1-percent.
