A 22-year-old Salem woman was injured and faces multiple charges following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on South College Street south of the Little League complex in Salem.
Salem Police say Allie Staser-Garner of Roddy Road ran off the road and struck an electric pole, shearing it off near the base. The power lines remained in the air and did not cause an issue.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called to assist Staser-Garner. They report while she was still sitting in her vehicle upon their arrival, they were able to help her out without extrication.
Staser-Garner was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries. She was also ticketed for driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and improper lane usage.
The crash occurred at 9:53 Saturday night.
