A 30-year-old Salem man has been arrested for concealing and aiding a fugitive and threatening a public official following an incident at his home where he allegedly lied about another wanted person not being in his home.

Salem Police say they eventually had to break in a door at the Damon DeBoer home in the 1200 block of South Jefferson Street.   The action was taken after DeBoer had been taken into custody on an outstanding failure to appear warrant in a possession of methamphetamine case when police were looking for another person who had been seen outside the residence earlier.

After denying 28-year-old Blossom Plumb of South Washington in Salem was not inside and allegedly threatening bodily harm to a Salem officer, entry was made to the home.   Plumb was located in the home and taken into custody without further incident.

Plumb was also taken to the Marion County Jail on outstanding Marion, Clinton, and Fayette County warrants.
