The Marion County Health Department reports just four active cases of COVID-19 remain in Marion County with no new cases reported on Wednesday. One of those with the coronavirus is in the hospital while the other three are in home isolation. Five were released from isolation on Wednesday.
Jefferson County is reporting two new cases on Wednesday and seven in isolation.
Statewide there were just 478 new cases reported on Wednesday, with nine additional deaths. None were in South Central or Southern Illinois. The Statewide positive rate is now at 1.5-percent.
