Two Naples, Florida residents were injured Monday morning when their car struck a semi on northbound I-57 a mile south of the Salem exit.
State Police say preliminary information indicates a car driven by 45-year-old Shawn Marshky of Naples, Florida was traveling in the right lane when it crossed the centerline and struck the rear of the trailer of the semi that was operated by 26-year-old Mandinder Singh of Scarborough, Ontario. After impact, the Marshky car rolled over and came to rest on its wheels in the center median. The semi came to a stop along the shoulder of the Interstate.
Both Marshky and a passenger in his car, 93-year-old Barbara Marshky of Naples, Florida, received non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. They were initially taken to Salem Township Hospital and then airlifted by medical helicopter to regional hospitals.
The truck driver was not injured.
The crash occurred at 7:41 Monday morning.
