Even with the extremely chilly weather, the Salem Family Aquatic Center will open as scheduled on Saturday.
Public Works Director Annette Brushwitz says the pool will open for its first general swim at noon on Saturday.
“Saturdays and Sundays we will run just one session of swim from noon to six pm, followed by two pool parties on Saturdays and Sundays. Monday through Friday our sessions will be from ten am to two pm and then from 2:30 to 5:30. So we’ll have separate sessions like last year again with room for lessons and pool parties in the evening. It is my understanding, our pool party schedule is full.”
Brushwitz says there is a waiting list for parties. Signup is also underway for swim lessons both online at salemfamilyaquaticcenter.us and at the Aquatic Center. Pool passes will once again be on sale this year and can also be purchased online or at the pool.
General admission will be $5 for those ages three thru 64 and $3 for those age 65 and over. Season passes are $125 for an individual and $225 for a family of four, with a $50 charge for each additional person.
