A 30-year-old rural Kell man has been arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on two counts of criminal damage to property, a single count of aggravated assault to a police officer, and on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant.
Sheriff’s Department reports indicate Joshua Wesselman of Foxville Road called from a home in the 5000 block of State Route 161 Extension to tell them he was wanted on a warrant. When a deputy arrived Wesselman was allegedly banging on the door of the residence. He then reportedly bent over and picked up a brick and went into a fighting stance. The deputy was eventually able to get Wesselman to put down the brick and he was taken into custody.
Department reports indicate the criminal damage complaint stems from an incident at the same home in October.
Four others were taken to the Marion County Jail on outstanding warrants.
