The Salem Community High School All-Class Reunion opens Friday night and continues all day Saturday. Over 500 have purchased tickets to the event. If you don’t have a ticket, organizers say you can still come to the various events and pay the entry fee. With so many from out of town, they hope those who still live in Salem will turn out to get caught up with them.
The event opens with a mixer at the Salem Community Activity Center beginning at six Friday night. Those in attendance are welcome to attend Salem High School’s opening playoff football game against Olney. It begins at 7:30 pm.
The full day of activity on Saturday begins with the induction of new members to the SCHS academic hall of fame by the school’s academic foundation. The awards will be announced at a breakfast open to everyone at nine in the SCHS cafeteria. There is no cost to attend and no reservations are needed.
Tours of Salem High School will then be given from 10:30 to 12:30 on Saturday.
The all-class variety show will be held at two in the SCHS gym. Doors open at 1:30. Admission is $5 for those who don’t already have a ticket.
The day concludes with a Saturday night dinner at the Salem Community Center. It begins at six pm. The dance that follows will have music from the Repeat Offenders. Tickets are $30. You can still get tickets or pay when you get there Saturday night as some extra dinners have been prepared.
The next SCHS All-School Reunion is set for 2030.
