It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Myers, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who left us on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Daniel was born on a crisp Tuesday, February 7, 1950, in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Paul Myers, Jr. and Ellen (Owens) Myers.
Daniel will be remembered for his love of the simple pleasures of life. He was a warm-hearted individual who found joy in fishing, hunting for mushrooms in the local woods, and sharing stories by the campfire with a circle of close friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Danielle, Sarah Beth, and Renee Myers; his cherished grandchildren; and his brother, Paul Myers, Jr., and wife, Gladys, of Centralia. His legacy also extends to his two sisters, Wanda Betts of Wayne City and Sally Friend of Seymour, TN, as well as his nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his loving parents, Paul and Ellen Myers, and by Heather and Shaun Betts, a cherished niece and nephew who preceded him.
In keeping with Daniel’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no public services will be held. Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois, is honored to be of service to Daniel’s Family.
