Salem officials say road construction improvements will begin on portions of Westgate and Whitaker Streets on Monday.
Work will be on Westgate from Main to Mitchell and on Whitaker from Westgate to Delmar.
During construction, motorists should expect temporary road closures, lane restrictions, and possible traffic delays.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and to exercise caution near construction areas. Please be alert for construction crews, equipment, and temporary traffic control signs.
