Police Beat for Sunday, May 16th, 2021

Centralia Police have arrested a 34-year-old Centralia man for burglary and criminal damage to property in connection with a March incident where he is accused of entering a home in the 1000 block of South Maple Street.  Daniel Myers was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Salem Police have arrested a 61-year-old Pana man for alleged obstructing justice, possession of meth, and outstanding warrants.   Ray Adams was taken into custody after he was stopped while riding his bike on South Broadway.   He allegedly gave police a false name leading to the obstructing charge.  Adams was wanted on a Marion County failure to appear warrant on a past meth conviction with bond set at $17,500 and a Fayette County failure to appear warrant on a pending meth case with bond set at $5,000.

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 21-year-old Kinmundy man on aggravated domestic battery and violation of bail bond charges.    Hayden Wimberly of Kinmundy Road was taken into custody during a traffic stop on North Broadway in Salem.   The alleged incident had occurred on May 7th.

A 53-year-old Sandoval man has been arrested for violation of the sex offender registration act.   Rodney Darling of Old 51 was taken into custody when coming to the Marion County Jail on the registration issue.
