Dee Ann Ashlock, age 77, of Salem, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Liberty Village of Centralia.
Dee Ann was born on April 27, 1949, in Liberal, Kansas, the daughter of John Wilson and Nadine R. (Shive) Wilson. She was a high school graduate and spent much of her working life caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Odin Health Care.
Dee Ann was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, especially novels by Stephen King, and treasured the time she was able to spend with her family and friends. Those who knew Dee Ann will also remember her dry sense of humor and the personality she brought to the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Tristan Adkins and Alyssa Adkins; great-grandson, Izyah Adkins; and her lifelong best friend, Rhonda Williams.
Dee Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Ashlock; and her daughter, April Adkins.
Graveside services for Dee Ann Ashlock will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Cemetery. Crouse Funeral Home in Salem is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
