Lois Jean Easley peacefully departed this life on September 13, 2026 at the age of 95 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 27, 1930 in St. Charles, IL and was the daughter of Roy and Harriett Miller. She married Kenneth Easley on March 4, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2014.
Lois is survived by her son, Mike (Lynn) Easley; daughter in law, Dawnetta Easley; granddaughter, Stacey (Mark) King and Morgan (Chris) Hubbell; great grandchildren, Nathan (Katie) King, Kannon King, Keyton King and special friend Kenzi, Kyler King, Linkin Welch, and Maddox Welch; great-great granddaughter, Hallie King; and sister, Barb Godfrey.
Lois found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A gifted craftswoman, she loved making furniture, painting pictures of barns, and creating homemade snowman gift cards to share with those she loved. She had a deep appreciation for nature, finding delight in butterflies, hummingbirds, and flowers.
For many years, Lois devoted herself to her family as a homemaker and farm wife. She took great pride in her craft of wool spinning and never missed a chance to share this skill with others.
In her later years, Lois cherished time spent watching her great-grandsons play sports and enjoying meals out with her family — moments that brought her great happiness and reflected the deep love she held for those closest to her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dan Easley; parents; sisters, Mary Jane Lester and Phyllis Bailey; mother-in-law, Myrtle Easley; and father-in-law, Williard Easley.
A Celebration of Life will be at Crouse Funeral on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Private interment will be in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Salem. Memorials can be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church and can be received at the funeral home.
