The 36th Annual Antique Power Days is underway this weekend at the Marion County Fairgrounds while the Salem Super Cruise is planned for Saturday.
Antique Power Days all three days features a large flea market and toy show.  Demonstrations of old farm equipment will take place on Friday and Saturday.  There will be a kid’s area, live music, and plenty of food vendors all weekend.
This year’s show features JI Case equipment and hosts the Illinois JI Case Collectors.
Friday activities include the FFA Ag Olympics at 4:30 pm.  The Illinois Hot Farm Stock and Southern Illinois Pullers League will host a tractor pull at seven.
Special events on Saturday include a weighted tractor pull at 9:30 am, toy auction at ten, a tractor cruise following the car cruise through the fairgrounds around three pm.  The Peterson Farm Brothers will present a show at seven pm.
On Sunday, special events include a church service at eight am and a car show with registration from nine to noon with trophies awarded at two.
The 36th Annual Super Cruise is set for Bryan Memorial Park on Saturday.  Registration is from nine to one, with the cruise from the park to the fairgrounds and back at three.  Awards will be presented after the cruise.  There is a $20 entry fee per car.  Several special trophies will be awarded in addition to trophies for various categories of cars and trucks.  Three motorcycle trophies will also be awarded.
