Centralia Police and Fire say a search from Central City into Centralia for a person possibly hit by a train turned up nothing early Monday night.
The search began after a train crew thought they spotted a person along the tracks. They then disappeared, raising fears the train had struck the person and could possibly be dragging them underneath the train.
However, that turned out not to be the case, and nothing could be found along the tracks. The search was eventually suspended and at last report no injured person had been found.
