Vickie L. McNealy, 76, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 2:08 pm July 12, 2026 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Care Center in Mount Vernon, IL surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 15, 1949 in Herrin, IL to the late Harris Adams and Colleen (Martin) Adams. Vickie married David McNealy on November 26, 1968 and they shared a lovely 57 years together.
In addition to her beloved husband David McNealy she is survived by Heather Koontz of Mt. Vernon, Holly and Steven Tate of Mt. Vernon, Hayley and Jeremie Moon of Mt. Vernon; Grandchildren, Kylie (CJ) Haje, Reese (Adam) Sledge, Kennedy Laskowski, Kamden Laskowski, Ava Tupper, Brennan Tate, Braylin Cox, Braxton Moon , Lynnex Moon; Great Grandchild, Della Sledge and one due in August; Sister, Susan Adams of Madison, WI.
In addition to her parents Vickie is proceeded in death by one Brother; Rick Adams.
If you knew Vickie you knew she had ALOT of personality. The license plates on her car showed that off. She had some colorful language at times (po’g mo tho’in), she should have came with a warning label. Vickie helped raise lots of children over the years. Working at Happy Time Daycare and her home daycare where she helped to raise her own grandchildren. We are very lucky for that. She was a member of Fouts Church. You were uniquely made to be exactly you. There will never be another one like you. She will be loved and missed beyond measure.
Per her wishes, Vickie will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
