Centralia Police say they are investigating how a bicyclist was injured who was found by a passerby lying in a yard at 13th and Cedar Streets early this morning.
Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says a bike was laying nearby the man. The only damage to the bike appears to be to a mirror that was found 50 feet away.
Police believe the bike may have been struck by a vehicle that left the scene. The name of the man has not been released. He was initially taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia before being airlifted to Centralia. The man was found around 5:20 Thursday morning, but it is not clear when the incident actually occurred.
Centralia Fire and Lifestar Ambulance assisted at the scene.
