Salem Police have arrested a 26-year-old Salem man for felony criminal trespass to a residence with persons present and resisting a peace officer following a Sunday night incident where he allegedly went inside a Salem home without permission.

Police say Christopher Jones entered the home on East Lyford where his children were located without permission from the children's mother.

Jones had left the home by the time police became involved. They located Jones in a red truck. He allegedly resisted arrest and would not exit his vehicle.

Police report Jones was later forcibly removed from his vehicle, but continued to resist officers' commands to place his hands behind his back. Additional force was used, including display of a taser. At that point, police say Jones complied and was taken into custody without further incident.
