The Democratic nominee for Illinois’ twelfth congressional district, Julie Fortier, will be joining Marion County Democrats for a ribbon-cutting on their new headquarters at 122 West Main Street in Salem at 12:45 Sunday afternoon. Following the ribbon-cutting, Fortier will host a town hall and community food drive from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Salem Community Activities Center.
The town hall will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions, share concerns, and discuss issues affecting their families, communities, and the future of Southern Illinois. Community members attending the town hall are encouraged but not required to bring nonperishable food items for the food drive supporting neighbors in need.
