A Centralia woman who allegedly ran into the side of the Lincoln Liquors building at East Broadway and South Lincoln in Centralia early Monday night has been arrested for driving under the influence.
Fortunately, Centralia Police say Diane Burris of Nelms Avenue hit a concrete traffic stop in the parking lot which slowed speed before she jumped it and hit the side of the building. While only some cracks in the paint could be seen on the outside, the impact was strong enough to shake the wall and cause the liquor bottles on that inside wall of the store to fall to the floor.
The impact also caused the airbag in the car to deploy.
Burris was treated at the scene by Centralia City Firemen and Lifestar Ambulance, but declined hospital treatment.
The crash occurred at 7:11 Monday night.
