Centralia City Manager Galen Mahle announced at Tuesday’s City Council meeting that the railroad crossing on Broadway downtown will be closed beginning next Monday, June 1st, for repairs. It is expected to remain closed for the week to all through traffic.
Mahle says all rails and ties at the crossing will be replaced.
The city is issuing a suggested detour.
For east bound Broadway traffic, detour north on North Walnut to east on West Noleman then south on Locust and back south to Broadway.
For westbound Broadway traffic, detour north on North Locust to East McCord then west to North Hickory and back south to Broadway.
