Salem Police say one person was injured in a two vehicle crash at Boone and Broadway on Tuesday morning.
Police report a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Samantha Askew of Warmoth Street in Salem was traveling eastbound on Boone Street when she ran a red light at the intersection and her vehicle was struck in the passenger side by a northbound vehicle on Broadway driven by 57-year-old Carla Smith of Alma.
Askew was taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response for treatment. Smith and a 16-year-old juvenile boy in Askew's vehicle declined hospital treatment.
The Salem Fire Protection was also called to the scene, but reported everyone was able to get out of their vehicles on their own. The crash occurred at 10:34 Tuesday morning.
