The Sandoval Village Board this week honored Police Officer Travis Nix for outstanding service and dedication.
Nix received the honor for leading the recent search that successfully found a missing Sandoval resident laying in a wet marshy area where he may not have successfully made it through the night.
The board noted Officer Nix played an important role in the coordinated effort involving local law enforcement, fire personnel, emergency responders, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring this situation to a safe outcome.
The Village of Sandoval extended its appreciation and thanks to Nix for his professionalism, commitment, and teamwork demonstrated throughout the day long operation.
