On this day in 1914, Wrigley Field opened in Chicago. Their first team was the Chicago Whales in the now defunct Federal League. The Cubs played their first game there two years later, shortly after the Whales folded.

On this day in 1985, Coca-Cola announced it was changing the secret flavor formula for Coke, and introduced New Coke. People hated New Coke, so the company quickly pivoted and reintroduced Coca-Cola Classic. They dropped the word “Classic” in 2009.
