A fundraiser is planned for Saturday to raise money for the Madison Street Historic Preservation project in downtown Kinmundy.

The project includes the renovation of two of the historic buildings on Madison Street that have fallen into disrepair.   The group has already stabilized the buildings and completed some roofing and window replacement.

There will be specialty vendors, crafts, food trucks and the Madison Street Historic Preservation District Resale Shop will be open.   Attendance prizes will be given out.   Information booths and a kids’ corner will be available.  The Kinmundy History Museum will be open.

Organizers say the event will also feature entertainment and dancing in the streets.   You’re invited to bring a chair and stay awhile.

The event runs from nine am to five pm on Saturday.

All the proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to preserve the two historic buildings.
