A 42-year-old Salem woman faces multiple tickets following a hit and run accident on the south side of Salem late Tuesday night.
Salem Police say Maria Massaro of South Washington allegedly struck a car at the South Broadway and Lake Street intersection and left the scene. Some witnesses followed her until her vehicle became inoperable due to front-end damage near Kell and South Washington.
Police ticketed her for driving under the influence, DUI with a revoked license, illegal transportation of liquor, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report a property damage accident.
Massaro was taken to the Marion County Jail where she was given a notice to appear.
