A Wamac home and an RV parked outside were heavily damaged by fire early Wednesday morning.
Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says the initial call was to an RV on fire at the home occupied by Jennifer Anderson and Howard Howell at 125 South Franklin Street. When firemen arrived, the RV was fully engulfed, and the fire had jumped to the house three feet away.
The RV was a total loss. There was heavy damage to the house and contents.
The State Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to try and determine the cause of the fire.
The property is owned by Richard Cichon.
The fire call came in at 2:45 Wednesday morning. Firemen were on the scene for two and a half hours. Centralia District Firemen received mutual aid from Centralia City Firemen. Lifestar Ambulance stood by and Centralia Police Dispatch also assisted.
