A 39-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police for domestic battery. Police say they were called to the home of Brandon Starr on North Jefferson after an argument was reported outside the residence. Starr was gone by the time police arrived, but was arrested when they went back to the home later in the day. Starr was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges and a first court appearance.
Salem Police arrested a 38-year-old Chicago man for felony retail theft at the Salem Walmart Store. Police report Anthony Amadeo had passed the last point of sale when he was stopped by security. He then allegedly presented a false receipt. Amadeo is accused of taking just over $1,000 worth of merchandise.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Zack Wooters of Clinmar Street in Centralia on a no bond Marion County felony warrant. He is being held in the county jail pending a final decision on charges.
