Three people were injured in a crash at the US 51 turnaround north of Walnut Hill Road on the south side of Centralia Sunday afternoon.

Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says a van driven by 25-year-old Kaylee Matlock of Brush Street in Richview was traveling northbound in the right lane when she attempted to turn into the turnaround.  Matlock collided with the front of another northbound van driven by 27-year-old Faith Luebbers of 23rd Street in Carlyle that was traveling in the left lane at the time.

Matlock refused hospital treatment on the scene and was ticketed for improper lane usage.

Luebbers and two juvenile passengers in her van, 15- and 16-year-old females, were all taken via ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.   The van Luebbers was driving belonged to the Hoyleton Children’s Home.

The crash occurred at 1:40 on Sunday afternoon.
