The Illinois Department of Transportation reports the concrete overlay project on I-64 in western Jefferson County is nearly complete.
The new eastbound and westbound pavement is along an 11-mile stretch of the highway from west of Mt. Vernon to the Washington County line.
IDOT reports that only minor work remains, which will have minimal impact when completed through Spring 2026.
