An early Monday morning fire has damaged a home east of Central City.
Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says the fire was at the Jarrod Heltsley at 1049 Green Street Road. The fire was on the patio of the home and was contained to the outside of the home. There was damage to the roof and patio and minor damage to the back of the house.
Battalion Chief Timothy Hilton was able to keep the fire out of the house until crews arrived.
Centralia City and Odin Firemen were called for mutual aid at the scene. Kell was cancelled en route. Irvington and Sandoval stood by at the Centralia District station in the event of another fire.
Firemen were on the scene for about an hour and 45 minutes beginning at 2:13 am.
