Salem Community High School has its largest number of Illinois State Scholars in a single class in the school’s history this year.
The Class of 2026 has had 30 students recognized by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, marking a significant milestone for the Wildcat community.
This prestigious honor is awarded annually to high-achieving Illinois high school students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance.
Principal Clint Wolfe says they are extremely proud of these students and their dedication to academic excellence.
“Having a record number of Illinois State Scholars is a testament not only to their hard work, but also to the commitment of our staff and families who support them.”
The Illinois State Scholar program identifies top-ranking students from high schools across the state based on a combination of standardized test scores and sixth-semester GPA.
