Mary Sue Webb, 90, of Salem, passed away on November 29th, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born to Walter and Mamie (McDade) Watts on March 19th, 1935, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She would marry Oral Webb on November 15th, 1952, and would spend just shy of 57 years together before his passing in 2009.
She was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church. She loved to go camping in her younger years. She enjoyed playing bingo and napping, in her later years. One of her biggest enjoyments came from sitting on her porch swing and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels. The one thing she loved the most was spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her son: Roger (Sandy) Webb; daughter: Melody Webb; 10 grandchildren: Kristy (Shawn) Harper, Craig Webb, Brandon (Amanda) Walker, Michelle (Bryce Patton) Webb, Brent Webb, Brock Webb, Kayla Cox, Danielle Smith, Kyle (Cindie) Webb, and Jada Webb; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great greatgrandchild; and daughter-in-law: Cindy K. Webb.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Mamie Watts; husband: Oral Webb; two sons: Ed Webb and Randy Webb; two daughters: Vicki Webb and Cindy L. Webb; great-grandson: Ethaniel Smith; two sisters: Pebble (Carl) Barnhart and Cynthia (Gerald) Barnhart; and grandmother: Rose Clopton.
A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Andy Dewitt officiating, and visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Salem and will be accepted at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois 62881.
