A barn was destroyed by fire Sunday night on the Kevin Rakers property on England Road east of County Farm Road.
Salem Fire Protection District firefighters report the barn was already on the ground when they arrived on the scene. They were able to keep the fire from spreading to another outbuilding.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. There were no injuries to people or pets.
The fire call came in at 6:40 Sunday night, with firemen on the scene for two and a half hours. Odin Firemen covered the Salem Fire Station in the event of another fire.
