Vivian Winkler, 81, of Centralia, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Evercare in Breese, IL. She was born on February 2, 1944, in Carbondale, IL, the daughter of William and Audrey (Modglin) Heern.

Survivors include her beloved family, children, Sheila Dagg of Centralia, IL, Sonya Greathouse and Chris Western of Columbus, IN, and Travis Sanders of Salem, IL; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Clark and husband Art of Columbus, IN; husband, they later divorced, Allen Spears of Centralia.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Rodney Heern, husband, Fred Sanders, and husband, Glenn Winkler.

Vivian was a hard-working employee of Kas Potato Chips in Centralia until her retirement. She enjoyed watching sports on television, college basketball, and of course, her favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. She liked the challenge of a good card game and hunting for treasures at yard sales. Vivian will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, Greenview Christian Church of Centralia, or New Life Church of Salem, and will be accepted for the family at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
