Two of the three people in a car that struck a deer on southbound I-57 two miles north of Salem early Sunday morning complained of minor injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.
Initial information indicates the driver complained of wrist and knee injuries, and one of the passengers had chest pain. They were checked on the scene by United Medical Response.
The State Police have not released the names of those involved. As the car stopped off the roadway, they reported no lane closures.
The Salem Fire Protection District was initially called, but were canceled on the way.
The crash occurred at 1:43 Sunday morning.
