An 18-year-old rural Carlyle man has been arrested in connection with the killing of at least 13 deer in the Boulder area on October 24th.
Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies say Ashton McArthur is accused of stopping a vehicle in a roadway and using a .22 caliber rifle and spotlight.
The arrest came after search warrants were executed in both Marion and Clinton Counties on Wednesday and evidence was reportedly recovered.
McArthur is expected to face multiple conservation violations as well as other criminal charges.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s office is thanking the public for their assistance with the investigation.
