John Miselbrook, 82, of Kinmundy, passed away on October 7th, 2025. He was born on March 22nd, 1943, to Fredrick and Rochelle (Boston) Miselbrook in Salem. In 2008, he married the love of his life, Colleen Swift, and they spent 17 wonderful years together.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Marion County Fair Board since 1969, a time that lasted 56 years, a member of the Lions Club for over 30 years, and he was a truck driver for 35 years. He was an avid coon and fox hunter. He loved all things horses, from riding to draft horse pulling competitions. In retirement, John became a school bus driver for South Central Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen Miselbrook of Kinmundy; brother, Gary Miselbrook and wife Linda of Kinmundy; sister, Joanne Allen of Decatur; mother-in-law, Roberta Swift; sister-in-law, Carmen Grandt and husband Doc; several nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews; and many fur babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Fredrick and Rochelle Miselbrook; brother: Russell Miselbrook; brother-in-law: Leroy Allen; and father-in-law: Leroy Swift.

Cremation rites will be accorded, per family wishes. A memorial service will be held on Monday October 13th, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Marion County Fair grounds. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy at a later date.
