Salem Township Hospital President James Timpe says the hospital received no damage when a steam line broke and a large amount of water poured out onto the floor early Sunday afternoon.

Salem Firemen help the hospital shut off the line and help clean up the spilled water.  The hot water heater was turned off until repairs could be made.

Timpe says surgeries were canceled on Monday out of an abundance of caution until the problem could be fixed and hot water service restored. Surgeries are scheduled to resume on Tuesday.
