Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 71-year-old Odin woman for domestic battery after she allegedly struck a family member in the elbow with a hammer. Mary Quick of Wortby Street was taken to the Marion County Jail to await court action.
A 58-year-old Salem man was arrested for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine following a traffic stop by Salem Police Tuesday night. Roger Johnston of North College had initially given the officer improperly packaged cannabis after being pulled over for improper lighting. A search turned up the alleged methamphetamine in his possession.
