Centralia Police arrested two 16-year-old residents of One Hope United on Sunday for alleged battery and mob action. They were taken to a juvenile detention facility pending further court action. No details have been released about the incident.
Salem Police arrested 38-year-old Mary Greenwood of North College in Salem on Sunday for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine. She was stopped while riding her bike near the prisoner entrance to the jail. After giving consent to search, police say they found a small amount of what field tested as methamphetamine in her backpack. Greenwood was taken to the Marion County Jail, booked in, and given notice to appear in court.
Salem Police arrested Cardie Napoli for retail theft at the Walmart Store. Napoli, who said she was homeless from Centralia, was taken to the Marion County Jail. She was booked in and released on a notice to appear in court.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department received a report of $800 being stolen from a wallet in the 400 block of North Front Street in Iuka. The case was turned over to Iuka Police for investigation.
