It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Earl Bosler, Jr., who peacefully departed this life on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on November 10, 1960, in Belleville, Illinois, the son of Earl Bosler, Sr. and Charlene (Hall) Bosler. He married Angela Jones, they had one daughter, Shannon, and they later divorced.
Earl’s journey through life was filled with adventures, generosity, and a deep appreciation for family, friends, and the simple joys of life. Professionally, he dedicated himself to ensuring the smooth operations of the wastewater treatment facilities for the City of Sandoval. With each task, he infused his work with diligence and integrity, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Earl, a man of many talents and interests, once brought laughter and joy as a rodeo clown while living in Texas. He was known for his love of playing darts, camping under starry skies, and grilling up delicious meals for those he loved. Earl found his greatest joy in the laughter of his grandchildren and the warmth of family gatherings.
Earl is survived by his devoted lifetime companion, Donna Hesson of Sandoval. His legacy lives on through his three beloved children: Shannon Simon and her husband Bryan of Centralia, Elizabeth Hesson of Marion, and Ryan Drake of Carlyle. He was the proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Ava, Willow, Margot, Leland, Lyle, and Lawson. He also leaves behind a loving brother, Johnny Bosler, and his wife, Kim, of Junction City, and a cherished sister, Jennifer (Bosler) Evans, of Centralia, along with his supportive brother-in-law, Paul Drake of Sandoval, numerous nieces and nephews, and sisters-in-law, Jeanie Bosler and Debbie Bosler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Charlene Bosler, Sr., his daughter, Billie Jo Combs, his sister, Cheryl Hendrickson, and his brothers, Todd and David Bosler.
In keeping with Earl’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and a private family service will be held at a later date to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the Funeral Home. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois, 62801, (618)532-3523, for their compassionate assistance during this time.
