Timothy Schippel, 60, of Iuka, passed away on September 20th, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on April 22nd, 1965, to Paul Schippel and Lois (Leonard) Schippel in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He would meet Chanda Richards, and they would marry on August 7th, 1993, and spend 32 years together.
Tim was of the United Church of Christ faith. He was an over-the-road truck driver, which fueled his love of travel, getting to see 48 states, Canada, and Mexico. He also loved camping and barbecuing. He loved to collect Hot Wheels cars, doing it his entire life. His life’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife: Chanda Schippel of Iuka; three sons: Tyler Schippel and his significant other, Nicole Comparini, and son Lorenzo, Brandon Schippel, and Payton Schippel and wife Maria; three grandchildren: Isaiah Schippel, Atreyu Schippel, and Maggie Schippel; one brother: Mark Schippel and wife Irina of Columbus, GA; one sister: Suzanne Tockey of Springfield, Il. and one brother-in-law, Mike Honecker of Centralia, IL., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Schippel and Lois Leonard, and one sister, Dawn Honecker.
Cremation rites will be accorded, per the family’s wishes. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later time. L. R. Osborn and Son Funeral Home in Kell, Illinois, is honored to serve the Schippel family.
