Ginger Leigh Thomas, age 55 of Salem, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Ginger was born on January 23, 1970, in Herrin, the daughter of Randal S. “Randy” and Sharlyn Kay “Sherry” (Wynn) Daniels.  She married Michael Thomas on July 19, 2025, at Regeneration Church of God in Salem and he survives in Salem.

In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by her parents, Randy and Sherry Daniels of Salem; two children, Nathaniel “Nate” Thomas Dobbs and wife Kimberly of Mayfield, KY and Lauren Olivia Dobbs of Salem; step-son, Michael Lewis  Thomas of Springfield; grandchildren, Aiden, Izzy, Sawyer, Lilah, Penelope, and Phillip; step-grandchildren, Ethan, Jolee, and Addie; siblings, Randal Curtis Daniels and wife Amy of Salem and Angela Czak and husband Christian of Charleston; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard Gene and Mary Lou Wynn, and Vernon and Mary Daniels.

Ginger attended Apostolics of Salem Church.  She had retired from working as a secretary for a school district in Kentucky.  She enjoyed traveling, was a wonderful craft maker, very loving, kind and had a wonderful heart.  As a final act of love, Ginger gave the gift of life as an organ donor.

A graveside service for Ginger Leigh Thomas will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Old Bethel Cemetery in Iuka with Bobby Wynn and Brian Mixon officiating.  Memorials can be made to Neurofibromatosis (NF) Midwest or the Children’s Tumor Foundation and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
