An 18-year-old Mt. Vernon man had to be extricated from his pickup truck after it ran off Dartmouth Road west of Duncan Road east of Mt. Vernon late Saturday night.
Initial information from the Jefferson County Fire Department indicates the man left the south side of the road for an unknown reason and rolled over into a soybean field. After being removed from the truck, he was transferred to an Air Evac Medical Helicopter and taken to St. Louis University Hospital.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is handling the crash. The man’s name has not yet been released.
The crash occurred at 10:16 Saturday night.
